Educate Yourself About dark lip correction
- Dark lip neutralization can be done only for those whose lips are hyperpigmented lips or discoloration, dark border and uneven tone.
- People who don’t have any underlying medical conditions or auto-immune disease such as hepatitis-B, diabetes, HIV-AIDs etc.
- Individual with good and healthy skin conditions.
- Moisturize your lips and scrub off all dead skin on your lips 2-3 days prior your appointment.
- Keeping your lips hydrated is crucial for smooth and less painful procedure.
- Do not consume alcohol and coffee 24 hours prior the procedure.
- Avoid all blood thinning medicines, fish oil etc.
- Firstly, the artist will have a consultation to determine how many sessions will be required, discussed any medical conditions you may have, and will brief you about the procedure. After the thorough consultation, the technician will apply numbing on your lips to reduce any discomfort the procedure. At Elora’s PMU we maintain extreme hygiene protocol for the safety of our clients and technicians both. Once the procedure is done you will be provided with after care guidelines and healing aid ointment. To get the optimal result you should follow proper after care.
- The follow up sessions are scheduled after 6 weeks post the first sessions.
- Number of sessions depend upon the darkness of the lips. It can be done in 1 to 2 sessions or it can be 3-5 sessions.
- For the first few days after the lip neutralization, it is essential to avoid getting your lips wet.
- Avoid touching or picking your lips to prevent infections and proper healing.
- Do not consume spicey, hot beverages as it can irritates the treated area.
- Do not put any makeup, lipsticks or any lip palm on your lips, apply the gel provided by the artist.
- Clean with damp cotton, or with mild soap after every meal.
- Follow-up sessions are very important for any corrections and to address any concerns.
- Topical numbing creams are applied to reduce the pain during procedure. The pain felt during lip blushing varies among individuals, as some have higher pain tolerance levels than others. Most of our clients explain the pain or sensation to that of a cat scratch, while some sleep through the entire procedure.
- Dark lip correction can last 2 to 3 years before gradually fading, allowing your natural lip tone to appear over time. You can get a touch-up session done to maintain the desired look.
